Podcast for "The Rock and the River"
For my podcast, I choose to read an segment from one of the chapters in the book. The idea was to give a potential readers a chance to find out a little more about the book. The podcast is about 8 minutes but I think it is worth listening to; so check it out!

Eventually, I would like to create podcasts to other books as well or help students create their own to promote their favorite books.

In my plan-of-action, I describe the standards for social studies and technology that are addressed as well as the technology projects I created in promotion for Black History Month. Finally, I describe my learning goals I hope to achieve with the website. The above link will take you a more detailed visual.
Banner
For my "Design and Production of Instructional Media" class, I choose to focus my theme around Black History month which is celebrated in February. Since the idea is to promote literature and literacy activities, I designed this curriculum theme to help students and teachers learn more about African-American authors and illustrators. This a banner I designed, using Power Point, where I would hang up around the school for promotion to the students.
